Description

The field bottle in the photograph is not for sale. It demonstrates how our cover looks on the original flask. You can assemble such a flask by yourself using the accessories that are sold in our store (cover, strap, lid, mug). Getting the original aluminum flask is still not a problem nowdays.

The material is felt of a yellow-brown color (unlike the brown covers intended for the European theater of operations). Not cloth (without woven structure). Thickness about 1.5 mm.

We offer options: smooth black leather or sand colour cotton 16 mm strap. Choose the option next to the Add to cart button. If an option cannot be selected, it means that it is sold out.

The buttons have a good deep "stars" on face. They are made of yellow metal like the originals, the upper part is painted black. On the inside there is an simple marking: stars (***), no modern inscriptions like "super star", "strong" or "xiao myao". These buttons exclusive production of "Replika" shop! Aluminum peg (if present, depends on model) is riveted on an aluminum washer, with leather lining on both sides and with a piece of felt, so as not to scratch the flask. The loops of black leather (if present, depends on model) are sewn with black thread like originals were. Edges of the skin details are also painted black after cutting out. Leather liners (on the inside of the cover) are of natural (brown) colour.

How to install the case correctly?

The covers are delivered plain, and at first glance they seem small or large. Everything is fine with them: you need to pull the cover over the field bottle, and then wet it with water and straighten it out. Felt (wool) is a plastic material without a structure (that's why hats of different shapes are made of it), it can be molded for your field bottle. If the folds cannot be straightened manually, you need to wrap the cover with a cloth tape to press the folds; remove the tape after the cover dries. If the case is large in some place, wet it with hot water, it will shrink strongly, taking the form of a flask.

When working with hot water, it is necessary to protect leather parts that may dry out or deform from heating. During the shrinkage of the cover, leather parts can be lubricated with oil for leather (or basically any oil).
