How to choose the size?

Please determine your size before buying! You need to measure the foot and select the size in the table by clicking the link. You need to measure on the sock with which you plan to wear these boots. If you want to wear a thick sock and / or an additional insole (which is just necessary when using leather shoes in winter, otherwise they are very cold), you need to take a size larger relative to what you have set out on the table.

It is useful to know that the foot in the boot is kept by instep, and not due to the fingers. In the German manuals there are illustrations, how to select the size. Opposite the tight fingers is written "Falsch" — "not correct". So measure the length of your foot and the length of the insole (take the insole from your old shoes). When you wear these shoes, there should be a room of about 1 cm (⅓ inch) in front of your toe.

It must be remembered that after several active events, the shoes will shrink (leather things decrease in size over time). That is, you can not take the size "end-to-end".

The match is only valid for this product!

Description

Leather boots - a copy of German boots from the first half of the war for reconstruction.

The boots correspond to the early model with 4 pairs of hooks and 5 pairs of holes for the lace. Dense unpainted leather is oriented on the front part with the pile (flesh) outward. The leather is thick and elastic. The sole is glued, stitched and pierced with wooden nails-studs in 2 rows. Steel spikes on the sole, a steel horseshoe on the toe and an original horseshoe with a secret fastening to the heel on the heel.

The color of the boots is light brown. The boots can be painted black with penetrating paint, this will always provide them with a beautiful appearance. But usually in the second half of the war, boots were not painted. If the boots are not painted, then from contact with dirt the front part will still become almost black, and the upper will retain its color. Boots in brown look authentic, but not always beautiful.

Leather laces are included with the boots.

Do I need to care for shoes? Sure!

You must treat the shoes with grease. You can melt any fat and wax (candle) in 1:1 ratio in a jar and soak the boot with this liquid, constantly warming up the boot over the fire. Or just put the shoe-grease over the top and the sole and let it soak up within 24 hours. Do not use cheap shoe-creams — these are designed for civilian shoes and dissolve in water. After each wet, leather shoes must be treated again with grease or oil.

Leather care is time-consuming, but essential in this hobby. A German soldier took care of all his equipment all the time. The uniform did not belong to a soldier; it was the Reich property! You should support it as well, putting grease or oil (you may use Johnson's baby as a light variant) every time after it got wet.

The boots come with the one-year guarantee. We will cover split seams and heel irons that have fallen off. We will not cover damage due to improper leather care such as deformation, splits, cracks, heat damage due to being too close to a fire.

We sell high-quality both paint and shoe grease (sold separately from boots). 100 ml can of grease is enough for 3-4 times.
