High-boots tightening strap

Description

Wehrmacht high-boot tightening strap. Since the high-boot is kept in the instep, the worn-out boot could fall off when moving in a swampy area. To fix this, they needed straps that pressed the high-boot to the instep of the foot.

The straps also help if the high-boots are too big for the owner. This situation is quite frequent, because the fingers should not touch the toe of the boot according to the rules of wearing such shoes, that is, the new boot should be free on the foot.

A pair of straps is a rare and very interesting (and sometimes just necessary) piece of equipment.
