How to choose the size?

The product will be ready for shipping within 1 to 2 months after payment, after which all the goods you ordered will be sent to your address in one parcel. It is better to order ready-made goods from the warehouse separately, then we will send them immediately.

To measure your waist please use a flexible meter, or at least a rope. You can compare data from table below with any pants that you have and that fit you.

• Maximum waist — the maximum girth of a bare waist that will fit into these pants. Waistband is pulled down by 12 cm with two strips on sides. We strictly do not advise taking the pants "skin-close" (otherwise it is difficult to bend over them), your girth should be 2-5 cm below the maximum for the selected size. By the way, the belt of these pants is high, and you need to measure your waist at the navel;

• Pants length — the full length of the pants along the outer seam. The ends of the pants are tucked into boots or Gamaschen, so the pants should end at ankles. If you are higher than 180 cm, your pants may seem short, but in fact this is not important, because the ends of the trousers are always in boots, they are not visible. We never have pants of another length!

The main size of the pants is the waist circumference. You need to start with it. Other sizes either depend on it or are listed for reference. If you choose the size according to the principle “well, I wear L”, then you can be mistaken, because L is a conditional size, which means simply “large”.

Description

1943 pattern trousers in herringbone cotton (HBT), feldgrau colour. They are part of the costume (along with jacket and cap).

Two side pockets, front pocket for a watch/compass, can be worn both with a belt and with suspenders (you may have to sew on more buttons to wear suspenders, you can buy buttons from us or use ordinary plastic ones).

At the back of the waist there are 2 straps with buckles that allow you to tighten the waist (therefore, it is not recommended to take the pants close to the waist, otherwise it may be difficult to bend over in them).

Since 1943, the cut of the pants has been changed, narrowing the legs to the bottom, and thus adapting them to be worn with low-boots. At the bottom of the legs there are heel straps. Their ends pass into the slots at the bottom of the legs. They simultaneously prevent the legs from riding up and pull them down at the ankle.

Historical reference.

First "Drillich" uniform was white and intended for work and exercises in barracks to preserve the "main" cloth form. Since February 1940 they started to produce HBT fabric in reed-green color for camouflage purpose.

The "Drillich" uniform was worn during marches and occasionally in combat. "Light" uniform showed itself practical and convenient, and at the beginning of 1942 the army decided to develop "summer" suits on the model 1942 suit base (pocket flaps were pointed). This form was worn with all insignia, as well as cloth one. Later model 1943 HBT suits appeared (simple rectangular pocket flaps).

Such suits along with caps encountered less often than the main (cloth) uniform. And cotton models 1944 never appeared, because the economy of the Reich was not up to "spare" suits by that time...
