Description

Matches in a veneer box. The boxes are assembled and pasted over the original ones and are intended for use in reenactment.

Dimensions 50x35x16 mm, about 50 matches in the box. Ignition strip on both sides.

Price for 1 box. Other items in the photo are shown for size and color comparison.

Historical reference.

During World War II, matchboxes were made from veneer (the same material from which the matches themselves were made), and not from cardboard as in modern matches. A label was placed on the box.
