Description

Shoulder straps of black colour with white edging. For soldiers (SS-Schütze — "shooter of the SS") and corporals (SS-Sturmmann) of the SS infantry. Senior soldiers and corporals wore extra insignia on the left sleeve (above the elbow).

Shoulder straps are sold in pairs, the price is per pair.

Historical reference.

The order to use Feldgrau (feldgrau, literally "field gray", but in fact cold pale green) unifrom in the SS appeared in May 1936. By the time the soldiers of the SS-VT (SS-Verfügungstruppe, "the reserve troops of the SS") wore black epaulets with "bright" banding (alternating black and white "aluminum" cord). There were no branch colors (Waffenfarbe) until 1939 in the SS. Then Wehrmacht system was adopted as a basis, and many colors coincide with the "army", but not all. The white color in the SS matched the infantry as in Heeres.

Such shoulder straps existed in the SS till the end of the war.
