Historical reference.

Geheime Feldpolizei (German) - the secret field police or the secret military police of Nazi Germany. Initially, it was subordinate to the intelligence and counterintelligence of the military formations of the Wehrmacht. From January 1942 it was subordinate to the IV Directorate of the RSHA (Gestapo). In German army slang, it was called the "Wehrmacht Gestapo" (Gestapo der Wehrmacht), as well as the field Gestapo or "Feldgestapo".

The secret field police units served all branches of the armed forces, including the SS troops. Employees had the right to freely pass through checkpoints and to the location of any units and headquarters of the Wehrmacht. They wore uniforms identical to those of the branches of service they served, but with minor additions in the form of a police emblem and cuff tape or "GFP" shoulder straps. When conducting secret operations, they had the right to wear any uniform or civilian clothes.
