Description

Copy of Doramad toothpaste. The toothpaste was produced by the Auergesellschaft industrial firm from the 1920s through the Second World War.

In general, Auer had research activities of rare earth elements and radioactivity and produced, for example, gas masks. The company used thorium and rare earth elements in the manufacture of, in particular, "incandescent gas mantles" (Glühstrumpf - a kind of lantern in the form of a stocking from a special material that gives light when heated with a gas flame), and the toothpaste was made as a by-product.

The toothpaste contained a small amount of thorium and was radioactive. Its action was promoted as beneficial to health, including an antibacterial effect. Of course, it was patented.

There's a real toothpaste tube inside the cardboard box, but without thorium and radioactivity! It can be used for its intended purpose. Also in the box is a paper advertising booklet (copy of the original). The toothbrush in the photo is shown for illustration only and is not included in the kit, it can be purchased from us separately.

The paste is sealed and packaged (the latex ring at the end of the tube provides complete sealing). Delivered in a carton with an advertising booklet attached.
