Description
Cuff bands of the elite division of the Heer "Großdeutschland" (Greater Germany). We offer various options (depending on the time period):
• Bevo (woven) ribbon, white Gothic letters on a dark-green (almost black) background; this ribbon was established in 1939 for all personnel of the infantry regiment "GD" and was used until the end of the French campaign (and by veterans much later);
• silver (metal) letters embroidered with "German italics" on a black background; appeared in 1940 and was common for soldiers and officers;
• white (light gray) letters embroidered with "German italics" on a black background; around 1944, silver embroidery was replaced with a gray, cheaper one.
