How to choose the size?
Put your jacket or pants on, depends on what you want to wear the belt over. Take another belt, tighten comfortly and mark its buckle position. Put it off, lay it flat and measure the marked lenght. Let it assume you got 96 cm. Look to the chart below: 96 cm is in the middle of gap 90-102 cm for belt size 100. You should take this size. 96 cm also falls into the girth for a 95 cm belt, you can take it, but you have to fasten it to the extreme hole (the belt may be small).
Divide cm to 2.54 to get inches.

Description
The strap of the ex-East German army (DDR, Deutsche Demokratische Republik). It's similar to the waist belt of the Wehrmacht in design, the same width (4.5 cm) but not interchangeable. The belt has a bracket at the end, it clings to the buckle's hook. It can be worn only with its buckle. Leather is smooth side out (on the belts of Wehrmacht it is the smooth side inside, so as not to wipe with a cloth uniform on the belt). The principle of fastening and orientation of the skin are taken from the belt of the red Army of that time (the troops of the DDR were part of the Socialist Block).
It is theoretically possible to alter this belt to the belt of the Wehrmacht, to do so, sew it again with leather smooth side inside and install the hook (you can buy the hook by us). Without alteration is a great leather belt in German style, but without the prohibited symbols on the buckle.
Larger sizes are more expensive, smaller ones are cheaper.
All belts used, with traces of wear (just size 80 is mint new). Some may bear stamps or names of soldiers or units who owned them earlier. These may be wiped out with sandpaper. This belt is waistbelt, it is hard enough to hold the weight of the equipment. It may be used as a belt for trousers. The buckle included!
