Cockade embroided embroided with gold metallic bullion on dark blue cloth for Kriegsmarine officer peaked caps.

Usually embroidered wreaths goes with the same eagle insignia, together they made up the set of insignias for the peaked-cap of the KM.

How to sew the patch? Attach the patch to the uniform so that it sits well. Fasten it for example with a thread of noticeable color. Sew the patch by perimeter with small stitches over the edge, use a thread in the color of the backing. Stick the needle 2-3 mm from the edge, otherwise the underlay will tear (shag), and the patch will fall off. Remove the bright thread which originally held the patch in place.
