Luftwaffe officer eagle for peaked cap

Description

The eagle badge is embroidered with silver metallic gimp on blue-grey cloth (the Luftwaffe branch colour). This is the officer version for Luftwaffe peaked caps, field caps and side caps. It was worn by Luftwaffe personnel including pilots, anti-aircraft troops, paratroopers, Luftwaffe field divisions and other units. Size 4.5 × 7 cm.

Usually this eagle was worn together with a cockade, forming a Luftwaffe cap insignia set. This version is intended for officers and is made with silver metallic gimp embroidery.
