How to choose the size?
The price is for a jacket and pants at once (that is, for a suit). The camouflage shade is completely the same on the jacket and pants. You can buy a jacket or pants separately from us, see the Related Products below.
The size of the jacket fits the size of the pants, German winter jackets were of three sizes: small, medium and large; we did the same. German winter jackets are made wide enough not to fetter a soldier and to fit different body-shapes; this must be understood if you are not buying a jacket for reenactment, but for civilian use.
German soldiers in winter suits with the white side turned outwards. Please note that the jackets and trousers are wide enough.
You can choose the size online. You will need a flexible meter or at least a rope. Measure similar winter clothing that suits you.

Size description for the pants:
• Suitable clothing size — approximate compliance with general sizes, to start with. Next, you need to check the rest of the measurements! Several sizes of clothing are included in one pants size, since winter uniforms are usually large, and the difference of 1 standard size is not noticeable.
• Max. waist — the girth below the rib, but above the navel, where the Germans worn the waistbelt. The first number is measurement on the naked body (in brackets, it was measured over the shirt + sweater + jacket, as it is customary to wear these pants). The number shows the maximum waist, that is, your measurement should be less than in the table, to 5 or more centimeters. Pants should not sit tight at the waist! There should be a gap at the waist, which, if necessary, is tightened with a lace-tie on the back. If there is no gap, then it will be difficult to bend down in your pants.
• Width of the pants on the upper edge — the pants are lying flat on the floor, you measure along the back half of the pants (it is wider than the front one). You can compare it with any winter pants, but please remember: these pants do not have a waist, they are tightened at the waist with a flap. This measurement is only needed here for reference. The pants will fit almost any large waist, as they have no waistband.
• Pant leg length at the inner seam — the length of the pant leg from the "fork" to the bottom, this is the most important size for determining the height, you need to compare with other pants that you wear. "Burdocks" at the bottom of the pants, which should lie on top of the foot, are not taken into account when measuring the length. We don't have any other height sizes!
• Pants full length — the full length of the pants along the outer seam.
All measurements are in centimeters. Devide numbers to 2,54 to have inches.

Description
Double-sided eversionable suit (camouflage Splinter and white color, respectively). It is sold only as a whole suit — the shade of camouflage is completely the same on the jacket and pants. You can buy a separate jacket or pants here, but as another product.
We have 2 shades of Splinter camouflage: spring and autumn. Spring has warmer shades of colours, a yellowish-gray base. And autumn is duller and darker in color. Both shades are very close to each other. There are some sizes in both shades, and some in only one. You can select next to the Add to cart button.
Authentic recycled insulation provides comfort on the move and in ambush. No sintepon, no modern materials as insulation! The Germans recycled old clothes made of cloth, cotton and viscose, shredding them on a special machine, and made a cloth (similar to a blanket of poor quality). They used such a cloth to insulate clothes, and we use the same thing.
The patterns were taken from the German model and adapted to modern growth (now people have become taller and larger than a century ago, good nutrition gives an increase in growth after a generation). The jackets are sewn by professionals at a factory in Russia. This high-quality replica is designed and sold only in the Replika store.
We have been careful about the details. The shape of the button loops is like on German samples, not a modern shape. This model has elbow reinforcements and "patches". The pockets are well thought out: they have a partition so as not to be through, but remain accessible from both the winter and summer sides. The pocket flaps are rectangular. Glass (plastic) buttons on the winter side (white, respectively), and on the pockets — shaped grained aluminum, in Feldgrau color paint. The cuffs can be pulled together with a two-button flap.
The parkas and pants have ink stamps of the manufacturer (company name + city) and size (numbers 1, 2 or 3, respectively).
Consumer properties.
Such jackets are very convenient for autumn weather and for winter to -15°C. They are not intended for long downtime in the cold (guarding), it was considered that a person moves in the jacket (walks, runs) or is temporarily stays in ambush. Jackets perfectly save from wind, blizzards, there is a special check valve on the clasp so that cold air does not pass through the front bar. True, there should be a scarf or a balaclava on the throat, because the throat of the jackets is open. The jacket was specially made without neck protection, the Germans wore a tunic (sometimes a sweater with a throat) and a toque (a woolen pipe for the neck) under the jacket as part of the winter kit.
The jacket does not get wet under the sleet for a while. However, you need to understand that the jacket is not waterproof, and the original jackets were not waterproof! These are not modern clothes for hunters and fishermen, but a copy of the historical military uniform, from the same (outdated) materials.
How to wash?
During the war, Germans noticed that the cuffs and collar on the white side get dirty quickly. They came to the conclusion that better to make the jacket one-sided and to wear white, easy to wash camouflage over it. By the end of the war, these jackets really became one-sided (usually it was Swamp camouflage).
Better not to wash any winter clothes in the machine, because over time it will lose shape. It is best to put it in the bathtub, apply detergent to contaminated areas, rub with a sponge or brush and rinse with a shower, trying not to wet the jacket entirely. To refresh, the jacket can be washed in the machine in a delicate or synthetic wash.
Historical reference.
The original of this jacket (in good condition) cost more than $1000 among collectors.
The Splinter (Splittertarn) camouflage officially appeared in 1931 and was like the Italian camouflage of the late 1920s, only the spots were sharp. Sharp spots were used by the Germans in camouflage schemes in the Navy and on helmets at the end of the First World war. At first glance, the camouflage did not change until the end of its production. In fact, the changes took place: the shape of the spots slightly changed on fabric produced around 1940 and on. By the end of the war, the "rain" on camouflage became rare and didn't already form clear acute-angled areas. A blurred "Splinter" was made on the basis of the original "Splinter" in 1943, and then "Marsh" pattern.
