Cotton thread for leather. Width 0.8 and 1.3 mm (you should choose before buying). Thread 0.8 mm is nice for small items e. g. helmet chin-strap, and thread 1.3 is for large iterms like waist belt or Y-strap.

The thread is not waxed. You can wax it by yourself usung a candle or special wax bar. You can colourate it to yellow "old" colour using thin paint. The thread is new (not stale), but it's less strong than modern synthetic threads. You should take account of it when you tighten loops.
