Gas mask anti-fogging pencil original 1938

Description

The original pencil for protecting glasses from fogging, for Soviet gas masks 1930-40s. Year of production 1938. The paper label indicates the factory Moscow Chemical Production No. 8 Moscow, OSOAVIAKHIMA and the marking Mosoblgorlit dated 25/IX-38 Order 3114 (Московское химическое производство №8 Москва, УПП ЦС ОСОАВИАХИМА СССР, Мособлгорлит от 25/IX-38 г. Заказ 3114).

Historical reference.

Fogging pencils were included in the mandatory gas mask package and were placed in a special pocket in the bag, which is located between the mask and filter compartments. However, the soldiers lost it pretty quickly, so these pencils are rare.
