The strap to the German bread bag was intended to carry the bag not on the waist belt, but over the shoulder (outside the combat formation). However, it found more common use at the beginning of the Second World war as a helmet camouflage device. It was wound in a special way on a helmet, and grass was poked under it.
Made from dense khaki fabric, steel parts.
The bag is shown for illustration, is not included in the price of the strap and is sold separately.
