Leather strap is with 9 holes, length is 65 cm (with the buckle). Made of vegetable-tanned leather. Original aluminum buckle from a warehouse.

• Stamped SS/RZM 207/40, with aluminum buckle (for the Waffen-SS).

Historical reference.

It's the earliest variation of the strap. It was used for fixing the mess-tin to the bread-bag, also as a part of the A-frame (assault pack). The holes are located at the tip, which distinguishes this strap from others intended for equipment. The straps for equipment have holes along the entire length.
