Description

Spring for German helmet liner (1931 model, suitable for M35, M40, M42 helmets). Made of spring steel (straightens when bent). The price is for 1 piece (5 pieces are needed for 1 liner).

Such springs are used to restore the original liners (in which the springs usually rot or become brittle). Also to replace low-quality springs in replica liners (they usually have springs of the wrong size or thickness).

These springs are not painted. In 1940, in order to reduce costs, they were no longer painted. In liners produced in the middle of the war, painted springs are almost never found.

The springs were different in length, due to the diameter of the liner rim. For any diameter of the rim, it was necessary to use 5 springs, therefore, their length changed. There is no table matching the length of the springs to the size of the liner. Manufacturers most likely put springs that just fit and were in stock. The size of these springs is 20 cm, which is suitable for liners for helmets 64 and 66. It is also suitable for 68, small - not large.
