Description
Shoulder board for senior SS leaders holding the ranks from SS-Oberführer, SS-Brigadeführer and SS-Gruppenführer through SS-Obergruppenführer, for the black uniform of the Allgemeine SS. Such shoulder boards were used from 1932 (the year the black service uniform was introduced) until 1938 (when the system of ranks and insignia was brought as close as possible to the army system). The shoulder boards of all the ranks listed were identical, indicating the category of senior leadership, while the exact rank was identified by the collar tabs.
Made of silver-coloured matte wire on a black cloth backing. The size is approximately 14×4 cm.
Price for 1 piece. Shoulder boards on the SS service uniform were worn one per uniform, on the right shoulder (as in the SA).
