Description
Porcelain ashtray with the inscription РККА. The inscription is copied from the original piece of agitational porcelain. Agitational porcelain was one of the tools for creating a positive image and importance of the organization, along with uniforms, special insignia and unique awards. We offer here a beautiful item for household use, which is undoubtedly an excellent gift!
A round porcelain ashtray with a diameter of 10 cm weighs about 160 g and is designed for 3 places to hold a smoldering cigarette. Height 3.5 mm. The inscriptions are applied by hot decaling (the paint is baked into the surface at high temperature), this is not a cheap stencil. The inscriptions are securely attached, can be washed in a dishwasher.
There is a signature of the manufacturer on the bottom: GLAVFARFORFAYANCE NKMP RSFSR Plant im. "Pravda" Dulevo R-1.
Historical reference.
The Workers' and Peasants' Red Army (RKKA) was the ground forces of the RSFSR in 1918-1922 and the USSR in 1922-1946 (that is, approximately from the time of the formation of the Soviet Republic until the end of World War II). An interesting feature is that in army documents since the summer of 1941, the abbreviation RKKA or the name "Workers' and Peasants' Red Army" is almost never encountered. The name "Red Army" is used everywhere. The abbreviation RKKA or the name "Workers' and Peasants' Red Army" is used mainly on ceremonial occasions.Source:: ru.wikipedia.org и army.armor.kiev.ua.
