This product is intended for military-historical reenactment (immersive stydy of history); for creating costumes for theatrical and film, video plays condemning Nazism and fascism; as well as for exhibiting in museums of military history. This product is not propaganda of ideas and criminals convicted by an International Military Tribunal, and should not be used for such a purpose! The photos have been edited in accordance with the requirements of the law.
The set has a smooth geometry and fine details. All nuances of embroidery are replicated. We have been creating copies of the insignia for many years, and they are appreciated by reenactors all over the world.
The patch is woven with silver thread on a dark green background (all insignias were made on this color of the substrate untill 1940). To see additional photos please follow the link.
The set consists of two parts: the eagle and the cockade. Colors of the cockade: black, white (here: silver), red. The dark green insignias were used by officers for much longer during the war than it was required by the regulations, to emphasize their status as an experienced veteran.
How to sew the patch? There are 2 ways.
I. Method for museum copies. Trim the excess along the contour of the insignia with a margin of 5 mm. Tuck these 5 mm under the insignia and iron (you may use glue). Fasten the insignia on the clothes with a few stitches of threads of bright color, so it sits smoothly. Sew the stripe along the contour with small stitches (seam around the edge). Remove the bright thread that fixed the insignia.
II. Way to for reenactment (easier). Remove threads from the inside of the stripe using the scissors or razor to make it thinner. Glue the patch onto thin paper or fabric using tailor's glue or PVA. Dry it using an iron (if the glue is liquid then you should use as little glue as possible, otherwise it can leak on the front side). Cut the patch along the contour with no margin. Fasten the stripe on the clothes with a few stitches of threads of bright color, so it sits smoothly. Sew the stripe along the contour with small stitches (seam around the edge). Remove the bright thread that fixed the insignia.
