The cuff tapes are embroidered with metal thread (natural metal is cold to the touch). Such armbands were worn by SS officers.

Historical reference.

The SS Junker School (SS-Junkerschule Bad Tölz, German) was founded in 1937 in Bad Tölz, south of Munich. There, young members of the SS received army training. Former army officers served as instructors. Due to their backgrounds, some cadets required basic training in non-military matters as well, such as instruction in table manners. Nazi ideology was also taught in lectures. In addition, the cadets were actively involved in sports. The school operated until the end of the war. After the war, the base of the battalion of the 3rd US Army until 1991.
