Description
The grommet is aluminum for attaching the lid of a German field bottle to a strap. The lid was fastened with a peg through the grommet, which allowed it to rotate (unscrew). Aluminum grommets were used, which cannot be found on the market (usually such small grommets are made of brass or steel).
It is also suitable for a sling tip for tropical strap on a coconut-type flask and other flasks of the Africa Korps.
It is easy to install. It is enough to insert it into the hole, expand it slightly and finally roll it out (manually with a hammer, using a standard grommet installer or without it). Use masking tape to protect the paint during installation. The result is a neat tip that appears to be factory-installed on the press!
