Description

The price is for the cape without a bag. The bag is present in the photo to help you understand the color and size of the product and is sold separately.

A good copy of an early mustard gas cape (yperit cape). The material is coated paper (they could be of different colors: gray, green, brown, black). There is a label for 1940.

The folded size is 22×17×2.5 cm. Check your bag before buying the cape! Bags have differences in size. In extreme cases, the mustard gas can be crushed or even refolded before packing.

Historical reference.

The cape was needed to protect against drops of toxic substances. The cape was disposable. In German it was called Gasplane - gas cloth, gas mask cape. It was made of impregnated paper. The upper part (towards the head) was reinforced by folding the paper and sometimes with a glued-in cord. Two labels on the corners of the reinforced part indicated the place where the cape should be held when unfolding. One of the labels usually had the manufacturer's marking. The size of the cape itself is approximately 2 × 1.20 meters. When folded, it has dimensions of approximately 21 × 15 × 3 cm.
