Original name: Germanische Leistungsrune (German Proficiency Rune). Bronze finish round swastika with black enamel SS-runes on it. Diameter 50 mm. Name of the manufacturer on the wrong side: Richard Sieper & Söhne Lüdenscheid RZM M1/25.
This striking award was instituted by Heinrich Himmler on 15th August 1943 and was awarded for exemplary conduct to non-German members of the Germanic-SS who were serving the SS. In many ways, the badge was similar to the SA Sports Badge and the German Sports Badge. The award had 2 grades (bronze and silver).
